  New wave communications of Sikeston Missouri is the worst provider ever. I paid 160 some dollars every month for five years. When I asked to downgrade to just the Internet because nobody was ever home to watch TV and the house phone only kept me awake with telemarketing calls I was told I had to pay $160 to change my service. When I told the representative that I didn't have $160 she tells me to go to the pawnshop. I told her to shut my service off. I asked that they send me boxes to return my equipment two months ago. I have received none. I got a call from a collection agency today Saying I owe over $900 for equipment and services. I called them today now It going to cost me $25 a box for my modem and my DVR. Or I could drop it off at my local office that accepts equipment. When asked where that would be I was told I would have to take it to Kentucky. I live in Illinois and my local office is Kentucky. SERIOUSLY It took the representative 45 minutes to find out this information. If I have service up until the point that I had paid for it why do I have to pay a full months fees in order to downgrade? I paid a deposit when I hooked up may of 2012. Representative says she don't know if it will cover my charges. But I still don't understand why I'm being charged for a full month of services that I didn't have. Customer service is supposedly what makes them different what makes them better what makes them special according to their advertisements. Customer service sucks. I have had Newwave for five years and my rates have done nothing but increase. Every time there was a promotion they advertise or a new special for some reason I never qualified. After today and the experience I've had trying to get assistance with customer service I would not ever ever recommend them to friends and family again. Which is another thing that they screwed me out of what is the friends and family sign up plan where if friends and family are referred by a customer such as myself you receive $30 off your bill I filled out the paperwork and send it in form for the referrals I know of at least 10 and they never took a dollar off my bill. New wave is nothing but lies.
